Slippery Cider
Apple Description
Lovely russeted apple. Medium sized and perfectly round on a very heavy bearing tree. It was listed in the orchard as "Slippery Cider" but we have our doubts as to the accuracy of the identification. Couldn't find other descriptions of "Slippery Cider" apples to compare with.

Color - Deep gold, hint of auburn, slightly cloudy.
Nose - Moderate aroma. Honey, apple, caramel.
Flavor - Medium body. Medium to high acidity. Not much noticeable tannin presence except that the flavor seems lightly nutty and spiced.
Overall Impression - A good cider but not exceptional. Interesting in subtle ways. Could benefit from higher gravity or more tannins.
