Reopening with Some Changes

You may not have noticed as we quietly reopened this past weekend.  We didn’t announce it or change our hours online.  We just unlocked the doors and flicked the open sign on when we felt ready to test the waters with a few customers.

Those who came in probably noticed some changes.  All the chairs have been put in storage, and we’ve put out some groceries for sale, mostly featuring locally grown foods.  Our menu is similar to what it was in the past, but for now, we’re only allowing outdoor seating and takeout.  In other words, it’s a cautious reopening.

We are still offering online shopping for groceries and cider with Thursday pickup and delivery, and we changed the website for these sales to brixmarketplace.com.  Check it out if you haven’t yet!  We’re continuing to explore new sources for local foods that might fit our setup, and we’ll be regularly rotating in seasonal produce as it becomes available.  Many of these items will now be available for in store shopping as well.

This wasn’t a decision we took lightly, and our setup is likely to continue to evolve over time, depending how things go.  Should coronavirus go away and become a less significant risk, perhaps we’ll start adding in some indoor seating.  Should a second wave of coronavirus come where things get worse, perhaps we’ll close down again and put greater emphasis on groceries, delivery, and contactless pickup.  As with everyone, we’re learning as we go, and we appreciate your patience and support.
